Written to be read. Four parts: what you agree to when you play, what we hold about you, how money works, and what happens to music you make in our studios.
Total Badass LLC operates this website, the Total Badass Inc. roleplay city on FiveM, and the store at total-badass-inc.tebex.store. Contact: support@tbi.city.
You must be 18 or older and hold a legal copy of Grand Theft Auto V. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it. The city is open to everyone 18+. Police and EMS are by application, at tbi.city/apply. Access can be withdrawn for breaking the city rules.
The first time you join, the city asks you to confirm that you're 18 or older and that you accept these terms, the privacy notice, the city rules and the track license. We record that confirmation with the date and the version of each agreement. When an agreement changes, the city asks you once more, at your next login, to accept the new version, and we record that the same way. The current versions are always on this page.
To let you in and keep the city running we record the identifiers your game client presents when you connect (your FiveM license, and where present your Steam, Rockstar and Discord identifiers), your IP address, and the answers you give when you apply. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Steam's, Rockstar's and FiveM's own terms apply to their services; ours apply to ours.
The city rules are part of these terms. In addition: no cheats or injected code; no extracting, decompiling or copying server scripts or assets; no scraping the site or the server; no using the city, its footage or its name commercially without our written agreement; no real-money trading of anything that exists in the city.
You own what you make. A beat made in the Lab, a recording made in the booth or the studio, a Cypher take — it's yours, and it stays yours. We don't take any rights to it automatically. For each track you choose what we may do with it, and we only ever get what you picked — keep it private, let us play it, or, if we invite you, release it. The one exception is a live Cypher take: once you've made the one-time declaration, a Cypher take can play from the start, and you can set it back to private any time in My Tracks on your phone. The same choices apply to a track you submit to us. All of it is set out in the track license below. You confirm that what you make is your own original work and doesn't use anyone else's music or recordings without permission. If it does, we can remove it, and you're responsible for it.
Sessions in the city may be recorded and published on Total Badass LLC's channels, streams and social accounts. By playing you agree that your character's name, voice and likeness may appear in those recordings and in the Chronicle. Music you make in our studios is governed by the track license, not by this paragraph. Your real name is never published unless you choose to share it in character.
Everything in the store is a cosmetic item, a form of recognition, studio time, or priority in the queue. Nothing sold grants an advantage in play. A purchase is a license to use that content or service in the city, not ownership of anything, and it isn't transferable. The store runs on Tebex; Tebex Limited is the merchant of record for the transaction, and Tebex's own terms apply to the checkout. A purchase is tied to your account and applies to every character on it. TBI chains and the TBI Tee can be worn by male characters only, for now.
Studio time is time in TBI's recording studios, sold in 2-hour blocks, on its own or as part of a membership. It's a service used in the city, not an item delivered to your character. What you record in a session is yours, under the track license. Sessions are booked with HGH staff, in the city or by request from the Membership app on your phone. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead to keep a session; a later cancellation or a no-show uses it. A membership's sessions renew each month, and unused ones carry over only as far as that membership says.
In-city items are delivered to your Cfx.re account. To receive one, you must be signed in to the same Cfx.re account in the FiveM launcher that you used at checkout. If you buy while signed in to a different account, or not signed in at all, we can't deliver the item — tell us at support@tbi.city and we'll sort it out, but we can only send things to an account we can see.
Most items are delivered automatically. If you're in the city, the item arrives within minutes. If you're not, it's waiting the next time you join. You never need to disconnect and reconnect to collect something you've bought. A few items may be set up by our staff instead; when one is, the store says so, and it's set up within 24 hours.
Monthly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Tebex account or by writing to us, and you keep the membership to the end of the period you've paid for. Prices can change with 30 days' notice, and a change never applies to a period you've already paid. If you're in the EU or the UK, you may have a right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days; digital content delivered immediately at your request is excluded from that right, which is why we ask you to confirm delivery at checkout. See Refunds.
Some memberships include items. An item that came with a membership is yours to keep after the membership ends. Studio sessions, queue priority and a membership's other benefits end with the membership; things you were given do not.
Every membership includes queue priority. When the city is full, players wait in a queue, and members are let in ahead of everyone else, by level: Backstage Level 1, Studio Level 2, Headliner Level 3, Executive Level 4, The Label Level 5. A Founder is Level 3 for their first month, then Level 1 for good. Staff, and a player coming back within 10 minutes of dropping out, are let in first. Queue priority only matters when the city is full, it never changes how the city plays, and it ends with the membership. A perk the shop page marks “coming soon” isn’t live yet; everything else in a membership works from the day you buy it.
We intend to carry this community forward — to future versions of the city and, when it becomes possible, to Grand Theft Auto VI. Your purchase record is permanent and tied to your account. Recognition carries with the community: a Founders number, a badge, a name on record. Items carry as an entitlement to the same thing in the next city, in whatever form fits it; we can't promise when, or that anything will look or work exactly as it did. Subscriptions are for the period you paid for and don't carry.
Chips, bets and winnings in the city are in-game currency only. They have no cash value, can't be bought with or exchanged for real money, and can't be redeemed for anything outside the city. Players must be 18 or older. Self-exclusion is available on request and is honored.
The city is a community-run server built on a platform we don't own. We can't guarantee it will always be available, or that it won't change, and the platform's operators can suspend or end it without notice to us or to you. If that happens, we'll refund unused prepaid time where we're able to, and we'll tell you what we know. Beyond that, the city and everything in it are provided as they are, and to the extent the law allows, Total Badass LLC isn't liable for losses that come from playing in it.
If you believe something in the city, on this site, on TBI Radio or on our channels infringes your copyright, email legal@tbi.city with the subject "Copyright notice", a description of the work, where you found it, and how to reach you. We act on valid notices and we tell the person who posted the content. Repeat infringers lose access.
You can stop playing any time. We can suspend or remove an account for breaking these terms or the rules; the appeal route is on the rules page. If your account is removed for breaking these terms or the rules, purchases tied to it are forfeited and aren't refunded. We can change these terms; when we do, the version number and date at the top change, and continuing to play after that means you accept the new version. If something between us goes wrong, write to us first — most things are fixable in one email.

When you apply for Police or EMS: the job you apply for; your in-city character's name; your email; your Discord username if you give it; your answers (the hours you can play and your time zone, your experience in the job, why you want it, your answer to the scene question, and your confirmation that you're 18 or older); the versions of the rules, terms and privacy notice you accepted and when; the IP address and browser the application came from; and your application's status. Applications sent before 20 October 2026 also hold the name or handle, how you found us, who your character is, what you wanted to do in the city and your experience.
When you first join: your confirmation that you're 18 or older and that you accept our agreements, with the date and each agreement's version, tied to your FiveM license. When an agreement changes, your acceptance of the new version is recorded the same way.
When you play: the identifiers your game client presents (FiveM license; your Cfx.re account ID if you're signed in; Steam, Rockstar and Discord identifiers where present), your IP address, and what your character does in the city — including in-game money movements, messages sent on the in-game phone, in-game purchases, and voice and text used in the city. Gameplay in the city is not private: it is logged so we can run the economy, moderate, and investigate rule breaks, and it may be recorded and published as described above.
When you make music in our studios: which tracks you're credited on, the choice you made for each (keep it private, play it, or a release request) and when, your one-time declaration and its version, and a log of every change. We keep a master copy of each track on our own server. For studio releases, and for any take you keep, set to play or ask an MP3 for, we also keep an MP3 copy with Fivemanage, a file-hosting service we use. If you delete a take, both copies are removed. When a track's status changes, our staff get a notice so they can add it to or pull it from the radio.
When you buy: Tebex handles the payment — we never see or store your card details. We receive the transaction reference and what you bought so we can deliver it.
If you join our Affiliate Program: your legal name, the creator name you go by, your email, your phone number, Discord, country, Cfx.re username and account ID, channel links, and your business's name if you sign for one; your application; the agreement you sign in the My TBI app; your place in the affiliate tree — the affiliate who introduced you (your sponsor) and the affiliates you introduce; and how we pay you — a PayPal email, or a Wise recipient reference. Your bank account numbers stay with Wise and are never stored by us. Before your first payout, your identity is checked and screened against sanctions lists by the payout provider, and you complete a tax form online through Avalara 1099 & W-9 (Track1099): a W-9 in the US, a W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E outside it. The completed form is stored by Avalara, not in our own systems; we use it to file your year-end tax form and record only whether it's done. We also keep a record of the payments made with your code, and our messages with you. Your phone number: we ask for it when you apply, and you can add or change it in My TBI. We use it only to contact you about your application and your affiliate account, never for marketing texts. Only TBI's owners can see it in our back office. We keep it as long as the rest of your account details: if your application isn't accepted, it's deleted with your application after 90 days; otherwise it's deleted 90 days after your agreement ends. If your application isn't accepted, we delete it after 90 days. The Affiliate Program is 18+ only.
Your signed agreement: we record the details you confirm on the signed copy (full legal name, creator name, email, country, FiveM / Cfx.re username and, if you sign for a business, its name and your confirmation that you may sign for it), your typed signature, the wording of every box you tick, fingerprints of the agreement and of the screen you saw, the time, and an identifier of your signed-in My TBI session (a one-way hash that can't be used to sign in) with when you signed in. We record no IP address and no device or browser details when you sign. The signed copy also shows TBI's signer, your affiliate code and your sponsor's display name. We email you the signed copy from affiliates@tbi.city, and until you sign we send reminders on days 3 and 7. You can get a copy free at any time in My TBI → Account or from affiliates@tbi.city, and "Download my data" includes the signing record. TBI owners and operators can see signed agreements in our back office; other staff can't. Signed agreements are the contract record: we keep them for 7 years after the agreement ends, including after you delete your account or ask us to erase your data. To withdraw your consent to signing and receiving records electronically, email affiliates@tbi.city, and we'll send records another way on request.
If you use an affiliate's code: when you first pay with a code, we record the payment's Tebex reference, the date, the amount we received, the code, and your Cfx.re account ID, plus a scrambled (salted hash) form of your email and IP address — never the addresses themselves — used only to spot self-purchases and linked accounts, and kept as long as the rest of that record. Later renewals and purchases are linked to it the same way, so the affiliate is paid for as long as you stay (if they leave the program, you pass to the affiliate who introduced them). If you enter an affiliate's code at the arrival desk, see Referral codes at the arrival desk below. Affiliates only ever see counts and money: their sign-ups per month (at the arrival desk and in the store), all-time totals, how many became paying customers, how many affiliates and customers are at each level of their team, their commission per month and level, and when their latest sign-up happened. Never your name, Cfx.re account ID, license or store code.
When you listen to TBI Radio: the radio server records your IP address, the app or browser you listen with, your approximate location (country) and how long you listen, to measure our audience. We keep those records for up to a year; daily totals, with no IP addresses, we keep longer.
Other things you create: photos and videos made in the city are stored with Fivemanage or on our own servers. TVs in the city keep a record of what's played on them and who played it.
When you email us, or we email you: your messages are kept in our email, which Google and Zoho host. If we contact you about working with TBI, we hold the contact details you've made public and our correspondence with you.
When you're on this site: Cloudflare, which serves the site, keeps standard connection logs.
Read your application, run the city, deliver what you bought, keep the place safe, handle the music you make the way you chose, pay affiliates what their code has earned (after the identity, sanctions and tax checks the law requires), and answer you when you write in. We don't sell your details and we don't send marketing to the email you applied with.
The companies that host and serve the city and this site (Cloudflare also holds our record of purchases made with affiliate codes), Tebex for purchases, Fivemanage for media you create in the city, Google and Zoho for our email, and Discord if you use our Discord (our staff also get studio notices in our own Discord channel). For the Affiliate Program: PayPal or Wise to pay affiliates and to check identity and sanctions, DocuSign for founding affiliates' signed agreements, and Avalara 1099 & W-9 (Track1099) to collect tax forms and file year-end tax forms. An affiliate's creator name, code and channel links appear on our public affiliates page only with their consent. Affiliates above you in the tree see your creator name, when you joined and whether you're active; never your contact details or your earnings. No other affiliate sees anything about you. Staff who moderate the city see what they need to do that. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Applications: while your account is active and for a period after, so we can handle appeals. Your first-login confirmation and each later acceptance: for as long as your account exists. Studio tracks: until you delete them or ask us to. Server and moderation logs: on a rolling window, kept longer only while an investigation needs them. Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting rules require. We're setting exact retention periods for each of these and will publish them here when they're fixed; until then, the answer to "do you still have it" is one email away.
The Affiliate Program, exactly: payment and tax records, including which payments came through a code and the affiliate tree they were paid on, 7 years after the affiliate's agreement ends · an affiliate's contact details, 90 days after the agreement ends · an affiliate's public listing, removed within 7 days of the agreement ending · arrival-desk sign-ups with a code that never became a paying member, 2 years · applications that weren't accepted, 90 days.
We're based in the United States, and your details are handled there. If you're in the EU or UK, that means your details are transferred to the US.
Write to support@tbi.city to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your details usually means giving up access, since we need an identifier to run an account.
If you're an affiliate: you can download your data, or ask us to delete it, from the My TBI app, and we answer within one month. We can't delete it while you're an active affiliate, or while we still owe you money (including a payout held for a missing tax form); that's settled first. If we never paid you, we delete all of it except your signed agreement, which we keep as set out above. If we did, we keep your legal name, country, tax-form status and payment records for the 7-year tax period, and delete everything else. Our records of who did what store scrambled (hashed) values, never your details themselves.
If you're in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
When you first join the TBI city, the arrival desk offers one box for an affiliate's code. It's typed once, at that first join, and only an affiliate's code counts: it gets you your own code for 20% off one store purchase (see "Your store code" below). Leaving the box blank is fine — you're in either way, and no referral record is made.
What we store: when you arrive and when you enter a code, the game server records your player name, your FiveM license, the identifiers your game presents (including your IP address, as described under "When you play"), the code, the time, and whether the code was accepted. If you enter an affiliate's code on your first join, we also make a referral record: the code, your FiveM license, your Cfx.re account ID (if your game is signed in to Cfx.re) and the time. The referral record itself doesn't contain your IP address. This happens once, on your first join only, and can't be changed later.
What we share with our affiliate system: the code, the time, your FiveM license as a one-way hash (a scrambled form that can't be turned back into the license), and your Cfx.re account ID when we have it. If your Cfx.re account ID appears later, we send the link between the hashed license and that ID.
Your store code: if you enter an affiliate's code, the game server also creates your own one-time 20% discount code for the TBI store (Tebex). It is the affiliate's code, a dash and four random characters. With your referral record we store a short referral number, the store code, its Tebex ID, its status and times (when it was created, sent and announced to you), the number of attempts to create it, and any error. We send the code to your phone in the city, and /storecode shows it again. In Tebex, the code carries only the referral number and the affiliate's code, not your name, license or Cfx.re account ID. Our affiliate system receives the store code, its Tebex ID and the time, linked to your hashed license, and records the store purchase that uses it, so that the purchase is credited to the affiliate. The code works once, for whoever types it, so keep it to yourself.
If you leave at the first-login card: the arrival desk comes before the first-login card that asks you to accept this notice. If you leave at that card, your referral record is kept and still counts. Write to support@tbi.city to have it deleted.
Why: to credit the affiliate whose code you entered for your purchases in the TBI store, which identifies you by your Cfx.re account, under TBI's Affiliate Program; to stop affiliates crediting themselves; and to give you your one-time discount.
Who sees it: TBI staff in our affiliate back office; some staff see only the last four characters of store codes.
How long: as set out under The Affiliate Program, exactly. A referral that never became a paying customer is kept for 2 years. Once you've paid with it, it's kept with the payment records.
Your choices: you can ask to see or delete this data, as described under Your choices. Deleting it may end the affiliate's credit for your future purchases.
All sales are final.
If something fails to deliver, or you're charged twice for the same item, contact us within 48 hours and we'll refund it or deliver it — your choice.
Filing a chargeback instead of contacting us results in a permanent ban under standard platform policy. We'd much rather fix it. Write to us first.
Everything sold here is cosmetic, recognition, studio time, or priority. Nothing sold here changes how the city plays.

Version 2.2 · September 2026
This covers any music you record, produce or make using TBI's studios, booths or tools, and any track you submit to TBI to be played. It is between you and Total Badass LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as Total Badass Inc. ("TBI"), which operates TBI-RP, TBI Radio and this site.
Your music is yours. 100%. Always. For each track, you choose what we may do with it:
Every track starts private, except live cypher takes: those can play from the start once you've made the one-time declaration, and you can set them back to private any time. You change a track's level whenever you like in My Tracks on your phone. You must be 18. The music must be yours to give. The full terms below are what govern.
1 · What this covers. "Your Content" means:
It means both copyrights in it: the sound recording (the audio) and the musical composition (beat, melody, lyrics, arrangement).
2 · It's yours. You keep 100% of the ownership and copyright in both. Release it, sell it, license it to anyone, put it anywhere: your call, always, and you never need our permission.
3 · You choose.
3A · Tracks with more than one artist. If a track credits more than one artist, each credited artist chooses a level for it, and TBI uses the track only at the lowest level any of them has chosen. We won't rely on one co-owner's permission to go beyond that.
4 · Level 1 — keep it private.
5 · Level 2 — play it. You grant TBI a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license. It is irrevocable as to any use already made. It lets TBI reproduce, publicly perform, broadcast, stream, simulcast, retransmit, transmit, display, synchronize with video, and edit or shorten Your Content, in any medium now known or invented later.
It is for these purposes only:
It must be sublicensable because every one of those platforms requires that as a condition of carrying our broadcasts.
When you move a track below Level 2, TBI stops new uses of it (clause 8).
6 · What Level 2 doesn't give us.
7 · Level 3 — release it. If we think a track belongs on the stores, we may invite you to release it through TBI as your label. You can ask us; we decide, and we don't have to say yes.
It only happens under a separate written release agreement we both sign. That agreement will cover at least:
Nothing in this license commits us to release anything, and nothing here is that agreement.
8 · Moving up and down, and what can't be undone.
9 · Money. Studio time may be paid; cyphers and some tools are free. At Level 1 and Level 2, we don't pay you and you don't pay us for plays. That license is fully paid for by your access to the city, its studios and its tools. Money only moves at Level 3, under that separate agreement.
10 · Your name. At Level 2 or Level 3, you let TBI use the name you record under (your character name, stage name or gamer tag), plus your voice and avatar, to credit you and to promote Your Content and TBI. We credit you as the artist wherever the platform allows it.
11 · You won't claim our streams, or players' streams. TBI Radio runs around the clock, and players stream the city with it playing. So for any track at Level 2 or Level 3:
12 · Moral rights. To the fullest extent the law allows, you waive moral rights in Your Content. Clause 6 still binds us: we won't remix it or pass it off as ours.
13 · What you promise us, and the declaration. You represent and warrant that:
Before any track of yours can reach Level 2 or Level 3, you also confirm once, in the panel or in My Tracks, that for every track you clear for play:
If that stops being true for a track, you'll set it back to Level 1, and TBI stops using it going forward. A track that doesn't meet this can stay at Level 1 only. If the beat came from TBI's beat library, the track can go above Level 1 only once TBI has cleared that beat for play.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TBI, Total Badass LLC and its officers and agents against any third-party claim arising from a breach of this. If such a claim is made, we'll tell you promptly and you may take part in defending it. We won't settle a claim in your name without asking you first.
14 · You must be 18. TBI is an 18+ city. If we learn you weren't, we may stop using Your Content and remove what we can.
15 · Claims and takedowns. If anyone makes a rights claim about Your Content, we may pull it from our radio, streams and channels immediately while it's sorted out. Copyright notices go to the address under Copyright and takedowns above.
16 · Versions, and how you accept. This is Version 2.2.
17 · Assignment. TBI may assign this license to an affiliate, successor, or anyone who buys the business or its assets.
18 · Governing law and disputes. Texas law and US federal copyright law govern this license. Any dispute about it goes to the state or federal courts in Texas, except where the law of your own country gives you a right to your local courts that you can't sign away.
19 · The rest. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. This is the whole agreement about Your Content between you and TBI.
Terms, privacy and refunds: Version 1.13, October 2026 · track license: Version 2.2, September 2026
